Winter Pilates - Enjoy the Benefits of a stronger core, improved posture, flexibility

The New Year is almost upon us.  A new decade, a time to become healthier, stronger, develop your  mind/body connection.

Classes in the Durham area commence on Monday January 4, 10.00 a.m. - 11.00a.m.  or 7.00p.m. - 8.00 p.m. Enjoy an intimate pilates class (5 people) in a cozy room with  a wood burning stove.

Classes in Newmarket will be held at Running Free commencing on Tuesday January 12th,2010 11.00 a.m to 12 Noon, or 7.30p.m. - 8.30 p.m.

Lynne Robinson Interview

“I was a real mess.”

That’s how “Queen of Pilates” Lynne Robinson describes herself when she was living in Australia with her two daughters and teaching English as a second language 15 years ago. Then 38, she suffered from sciatica,
had hypermobile joints and a nonexistent core. But imperfection became her good fortune: She showed up for a yoga class at the wrong time and met Penny Latey, director of Modern Pilates on Sydney’s North Shore. Latey urged the out-of shape student to take her Pilates class. Robinson took on the challenge.
